Successes
Through careful analysis and detailed project management, V1 Datacom helped
a Fortune 1000 manufacturer save $300,000/year by moving the Company’s call
center facilities to Qwest. Through careful planning, the trunks, toll free
numbers, long distance, and multi-state IVR routing functionality for a
40,000 calls/month Customer Service Center, were moved without dropping a
single call.
V1 Datacom managed the installation of an OC3 and the conversion of dial
tone, long distance, video conferencing, and clinic/remote office
connectivity from copper to the new fiber facilities for a regional
hospital. These changes improved network performance and availability by
increasing bandwidth, moving services to more reliable optical circuits,
and by simplifying network management through the consolidation of telecom
facilities.
V1 Datacom helped a thriving Coastal Oregon ISP add additional Internet
bandwidth and redundancy by designing and implementing an ATM based service
that delivered Ethernet interconnectivity to a metropolitan area carrier.
The customer was able to cost effectively reach Tier 1 Internet backbones
using a managed virtual network solution.
V1 Datacom has provided service and support to a local data center that
supports Fortune 500 customers. V1 Datacom first started working with this
data center to resolve billing errors on nearly every circuit to the
facility. The company provided analysis, design, and project management
when requirements determined an upgrade was necessary from the existing
OC-3 to a new OC-12 system. V1 Datacom ordered and project managed all
aspects of the conversion, including implementing diverse route protection
and the successful migration of numerous T-1s and T-3s. When the data
center needed to increase internet bandwidth, V1 Datacom implemented
upgrades from 3 to 9 Mbps and finally from 9 to 30 Mbps of dedicated
internet access. V1 Datacom’s unique capabilities have satisfied the
service and support requirements for this sophisticated facility.
V1 Datacom provides a regional bank with a single source for the services
needed to connect employees and critical applications together in 11
locations. Working with the Bank’s IT staff V1 Datacom identified and
implemented Centrex, audio conferencing, frame relay, and long distance in
a larger effort to streamline services and provide greater volume
discounts. V1 Datacom also provides support to the Bank managing its
point-to-point T-1 network in conjunction with their VoIP network. By
consolidating vendors the Bank saves money and makes just one call for
services.
Another national manufacturer needed connectivity from its main campus
to a new data center facility. V1 Datacom implemented a DWDM point-to-point
circuit delivering gig-E connectivity. V1 Datacom also implemented an
OC-3 for this customer and multiple dial tone services for their national
call center.
